“Spirit” is the opening track & lead single off of my debut album Mildew released under Closed Sessions. During a brutal Chicago winter in 2019, I distinctly remember waking up in the middle of the night and writing this song within the closet of my mold filled studio apartment. I didn’t know it at the time, but this single would set the tone for my music and career to come.
In many ways, I believe “Spirit” represents who Jack Larsen is—it’s a timeless; futuristic; expansive; and most importantly, freeing anthem.
These are the same feelings that Web3 brings to me. I believe in blockchain the same way I believe in my music. It’s frightening not knowing where the future of art and music will lead, but I might as well enter this new space with a bang. There is no other track I hold near and dear to my heart more than this one.
